Highly recommend Underground Autowerks. Tim is honest, trustworthy and reliable. He’s done an amazing job on repairs to my Alfa as well as our Porsche.

This place worked on my Benz without any bias at all. They gave me a good deal and I didnt have to haggle or go through any hassle at all. The prices were fair from the start and my Benz shifts real smooth now. Transmission service, fluid change was done same day, they were super gentle on my Mercedes.

I am so grateful that I found Underground Auto Werks to service my Mercedes! After a number of very upsetting experiences at Hoehn Mercedes of Carlsbad over a number of years, where the service continued to decline and I no longer felt safe bringing my car there, Underground was recommended to me. They were honest , extremely knowledgeable and courteous and did an excellent job repairing my car. I will continue to use this company, knowing that the mechanics have between 20 and 30 years of experience working on Mercedes, that their prices are very fair and their work is impeccable. Finally after my third try to find a place in San Diego to service my 1998 MB SLK 230, I have found it at the Mercury St shop. I will always take it here. Ist visit they found the problem with the hard top not going down & that pesky check engine light. They charged a reasonable rate and did not recommend any unnecessary repairs. With an older car like this, other shops would recommend $1000+ repairs without telling me how urgent it was. Underground Autowerks is kinda like my dentist... for some things it is safe to watch them for awhile and not repair everything at the first sign of wear.

I friend recommended this place to me after I mentioned needing some work done on my son's SUV and I'm so glad to have finally found a solid auto repair shop! I was really in need of finding an honest and fair shop, because unfortunately that is a bit hard to come across these days. I had taken my cars to other places in the past but I most always left feeling that I had overpaid and possibly for repairs that weren't quite necessary. My experience with the owner Tim and his crew proved to be spectacular! The SUV I took in had one major problem that was identified right away by Tim and he quickly got me in. I left the SUV with him and a couple of hours later he called me to discuss other findings and give me some options. I work in the Kearny Mesa area so I was able to come down a take a look with him. In a nutshell, there were other things that needed attention and instead of Tim just pressuring me to spend more money, he took the time to break down, the actual severity of the other repairs and sort of gave me a plan of action that I could follow when I could afford to spend money on them. That's just something special that you don't find in many auto repair shops and it blew me away. Since then, he takes care of all my vehicles and I when the work is done, I never leave with a bad taste in my mouth. Instead, I leave feeling confident that I've been taken great care of and my problems have been solved. A big thanks to Tim and the crew at Underground Autowerks!
