🔧 La Mesa Tire Company

I’ve caught La Mesa Tire Shop overcharging multiple times — they buy parts from O'Reilly's and then turn around and charge customers double the price. This has happened to me on four separate occasions, which shows it's not a one-time mistake but a pattern. It's dishonest and feels like a scam. I would strongly recommend checking prices yourself before agreeing to any work here.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED CASH HERE. These guys ARGUED with the neighboring tire shop about what tires we needed for our van. After convincing us that THEY had the correct ones, they knowingly put the WRONG TIRES on our van. Our van is a 1 ton passenger van, and they KNOWINGLY put tires on that are meant for a much smaller lightweight truck. They knew we were leaving the state and that's why we were replacing all 4 tires. So what did they do? These jokers gave us the wrong tires on all 4, overcharged us, and then nearly killed us. 600mi into a 2100mi trip one of the tires went flat, and after stopped, another one did too. We took it to a mechanic in Flagstaff, AZ since that's where we ended up stranded because of the tires. They immediately called out that these tires are NOT meant for our van, and aren't meant to carry this kind of weight. He said he was "genuinely surprised" that one didn't blow on the freeway up here. We could've been KILLED. This wasn't just negligence, it was PURPOSEFUL maliciousness to convince us to leave the other shop, charge us for special tires that they didn't even have, and KNOWINGLY install tires that could've KILLED our entire family. Absolutely disgusting. At best; they don't know what they're doing. At worst; they intentionally cut corners to make money at the risk of their customers LIVES. Go anywhere else. Seriously. This is an insane level of greed and cruelty. Now we're stranded waiting for replacement tires, and dropping another $800ish out of our budget on new ones because we don't want to die. Next time they see me, it'll be in court. I'm so disgusted and livid.

I was traveling on the freeway, and a piece of metal fell off a truck in front of me. I tried to avoid it but was unable. It gashed my front right tire. Took the wheel off my car and bring it to the La Mesa Tire Company—very fair price. Out of the shop in about 10 mins. Hopefully the owner of that Truck sees this post and finds me to pay me back :)

Fast, friendly and great buy for what I needed. Totally recommend them.

I have been coming here for years and they never let me down. Finding a trust worthy tire shop can be hard to find but believe me this place is fantastic. 10/10 customer service and atmosphere.
