Should have looked at the 1* reviews before going here. I paid for new spark plugs, fuel induction cleaning for engine, and fluid replacements on vehicle. Also for a new turbo bypass valve installed which they said they knew how to do. They did not install the bypass valve at all, and charged me $600 for the service. They kept my self-provided part and didn't call me to tell me that it wasn't installed. It took me 2 weeks after I went under the car to open up the bottom panels and check myself, that I found out it wasn't installed. After calling them, they claimed that they had forgotten to call me back and "were about to call me back the same day". They refunded me the $600 and gave me back the part, but LOL! WHAT A JOKE. And this isn't even the full story. After that, my engine started knocking and my check engine light went on. The car was undriveable at this point, so I had it towed to a different shop that specializes in Subarus in Oceanside. They did an inspection and turns out the spark plugs weren't installed correctly, and they used the wrong kind! So not only did they attempt to scam me by not performing any service and keeping my part that I self-provided, but they messed up my car even worse than when I brought it in. Go somewhere else unless you just need an oil change, and to be honest I wouldn't trust them doing even that.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with West Automotive Group. I entrusted them with my vehicle, which was in near-perfect condition, only to get it back with clear damage that they refused to take responsibility for. The front bumper, fog light, and lower air dam were damaged while the car was in their care, yet they tried to claim it was “pre-existing”—which is completely false. Additionally, the right rear wheel trim piece went missing while they had the car. Whether it fell off during transport between their locations or was removed at their facility, the fact remains that my car was under their care, making it their responsibility. Instead of owning up to it, they deflected blame and downplayed the issue. On top of that, the yellow light for the EVAP system—which they have been working on since July now it’s March is still on. After months of waiting and giving them the benefit of the doubt, I have completely lost confidence in their ability to properly repair my car. I now have to move on and have all these problems addressed elsewhere. At this point, it’s not even about the money—it’s the time and energy I’ll have to spend correcting the neglect caused by West Automotive Group. If you value your vehicle and want a shop that takes accountability for its work, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Brian Bowersock you should be ashamed for the way you justified arguments and excuses for your actions but I have photographs to prove how you allowed my vehicle to be under your care.

Five Stars! I had a fantastic experience! The customer service was top-notch—friendly, helpful, and professional. I was able to call and get same-day service and repair, which was a huge relief. The pricing was very fair and reasonable. They also offer a shuttle service, which made everything even more convenient. Overall, fast, efficient, and reliable service. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience at West Miramar Automotive getting my brakes, rotors, and calipers replaced. The technician clearly explained why my brakes felt spongy—turns out the calipers were busted and leaking brake fluid. He also showed me the condition of the rotors and pads, which helped me fully understand the issue. At the front desk, Brian (or maybe Brandon…my apologies) and a young lady were incredibly helpful and genuinely concerned for my safety. I didn’t want to leave my truck overnight, but they strongly advised against driving it until the repairs could be done properly. That showed me they really care about their customers and don’t believe in rushing quality work. They made sure I was informed every step of the way. By the next day, my truck was fixed. I truly appreciate their honesty, professionalism, and care. Thanks again for getting my truck safely back on the road! I’ll be back again for the tie rod, ball joints, and possibly the speed sensor/gov.solenoid lol

Damaged the back of my seat doing a seat belt repair under warranty. Had to come back to repair and now I have to sit on location wait scheduled 2.5 hours for the repair. After a bunch of complaints I was given a loaner car The overall sense is that it’s not big deal to sit in the middle of industrial Kearney Mesa. They offer no credit to run to the store no loaner car. Just sit and wait like my time is worth nothing.
