These guys are always on it and I’ve been going to them for years. Yesterday, I popped in to ask for an off favor - if I could borrow a wrench to help remove my license plates so I. Oils install the new ones. DMV was just across the street and I was waiting for my number to be called but just couldn’t turn the screws by hand. Tony came to the counter and upon requesting a wrench he didn’t let me borrow one…he went out and took the. Time to remove them for me. Now, this may seem like a minor task however, the courtesy and customer service exhibited is just one of the many reasons that I go see these guys when I have a car issue they take that same care with every customer, every time. Thank you, Tony for being a perfect gentleman, and your help is truly appreciated and your customer service will be rewarded with additional trips to Pep Boys on Genesee as needed!

I was on the way home to San Bernardino County from visiting a friend in San Diego when my passenger side front tire burst. Luckily, there was a Pep Boys nearby. I put the "donut" on the car and drove to Pep Boys. Ryan is awesome. Quick analysis Great customer service. He told me it would take about 90 minutes to replace the tire. Ninety minutes later, I had a new tire on the car and was ready to go. The entire crew there at Pep Boys are courteous and greet you with a smile. Highly recommend Pep Boys at this location

My tire just completely shredded out of nowhere while on our way to our Hotel in San Diego. It was late and everywhere was closed. We found this pep boys and had the car towed there. We arrived with around 5 minutes left until they closed. Fernando not only let us in and helped us, but was extremely kind and compassionate. He walked us through all the steps, assured us the car would be ready in the morning, and provided exceptional service. The next day, we came around the time he mentioned, the car was ready and he greeted us with a big smile. Costs were everything we agreed to, everything was reasonable, he mentioned all the other things they noticed during their inspection but was not pushy at all with the other changes, simply recommended them and was understanding that we were from out of town and that we could totally get the other repairs done at any other pep boys. If I could give zero stars, I would. I've never written a negative review before, but the awful service I received here needs to be shared so others don't make the same mistake I did. I took my Mini Cooper in for several things (totaling over $1500), including a battery and brake replacement. After picking up my car, I noticed a strange noise whenever I drove over a bump. I took it back, and they claimed to have "fixed the issue." But the noise was still there. When I returned again, they admitted that an inexperienced mechanic had worked on my car the first time and promised a more experienced one would fix it. Then they said the noise was due to something else that needed replacing and pressured me into doing it, although at a discount. The noise continued. Frustrated, I went to another mechanic who found a tool socket left inside the battery compartment, causing the noise. They also showed me a large missing piece from the plastic compartment above the battery, which wasn't broken before. The plastic parts under the hood of a Mini Cooper are known to be fragile, and it’s infuriating that the mechanics at this place didn’t know this and didn’t admit they broke it, trying to hide their mistake instead. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place. The mechanics here are not only incompetent but also don’t care if they damage your car. Their lack of knowledge and honesty is completely unacceptable.
